Hello, "GOOD MORNING-This is God. I will be in charge of all of your problems today. I will not need your help! Relax, and have a great day." This is the text on a letter size plaque that I received in a Christmas packet from Mackinaw City, Michigan. Posted on a cabinet door in my line of vision as I eat every morning, it is a grand reminder. YES, I'M BACK-Lightning struck in our back yard at 5:25 P.M on November the 15th. Drawn to the area of where the utilities enter the house, the loud noise and the blinding flash are unforgetable. We were without power overnight. Thousands of dollars damage was done as the fury broke glass and the power surge fried the insides of electronics, including computers. Not having funds to do the repairs, I was forced into the insurance system. Estimate, evaluate, mediate, arbitrate and mostly wait, wait, wait. Thank you to those who went to my website, wrote or phoned to check on me. We are nearly all back together. We are supposed to learn from adversity. I did-two things. 1. I still need patience. 2. It is not a sin to have limited funds, but it is inconvenient at times. MUSIC Jeanene's keyboard and organ were not damaged so we never lost music. The name of Jesus is so sweet, I love it's music to repeat. It makes my joy full and complete, The precious name of Jesus. REFRAIN; Jesus-O' how sweet the name. Jesus-every day the same, Jesus-let all saints proclaim, His worthy praise forever A later verse to the song has special meaning since September 11 I love the name of Him whose heart, Knows all my grief and bears a part. Who bids all anxious fears depart, I love the name of Jesus "And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS ". Luke 1:31 JESUS-Angels ANNOUNCED it "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins". Matthew 1:21 JESUS-All gospel preaching ADVANCES it "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" Acts 4:12. JESUS-Every voice in the universe shall APPROVE it. "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father". Philippians 2 :10 &11. I WISH-I have a mind category-"I wish I had said that". I added one from a missions organization's annual report. "Our missionaries are heroes, carefully sifting through the debris of a fallen planet" Here is another "Determine the direction that God is blowing the wind of His spirit, get the wind to your back and keep moving". It seems to me that God is moving in a particular area of this planet. Every missions minded organization is telling me to watch the winds of revival blow eastward out of the Balkan and Slavic lands and sweep up the Ukraine and Russia. Pray and send the wind. A THOUSAND WAYS IN 2002-A rather successful evangelist shared this story with me in the late 1960's. I will write in the first person. Upon the finishing of seminary in 1954, I promised God that I would answer to every open door. That Fall found me in the prairies of Saskatchewan, Canada. Crops were poor that year and I arrived along with an unusually late and widespread hailstorm. Love offerings were mostly love. My wife and our toddler son awaited my return home to California. I got there broke financially and broken in spirit. Holidays coming, no money, rent due. Not the picture of the ministry that I had seen in my mind. What to do? We prayed together, decided not to tell anybody our plight and went to a sleepless bed. We needed $600 - a fortune. We had a visitor the next morning, early. Maria was the sole support of a family led by a drunken husband. She stopped by often on her way to clean houses, so for her to come was no big matter. After a few minutes, she excused herself. We found an envelope on the hallway table. We opened it. You guessed it--six $100 bills! I cried out to God, "Lord, this must have been your last resource". I have never heard the audible voice of God, That day I just knew these words. "Son, I love you, and I have a thousand ways that you have never even thought about". Ephesians 3:20 says "Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us". As a matter of joyous fact, Ephesians 3:14-21 is a WOW (words of wonder) passage for me. THANK YOU-A few weeks ago, I asked an interest in your prayers as my daughter, Jeanine, (Mrs. Randall McKnight) and all their family as they performed and sang in "The Gospel According to Texas", a broadway type show with live band. The show closed after five weeks of record crowds and many decisions for Christ. A part of the presentation is an invitation at the conclusion of each show. LISTS-Make up a very large part of our lives. I have attempted to rebuild my "address book". I need your help to add as you hear of those that I need to add. Exodus 28 gives the intricate insructions for the ephod (a vest like garment) of the high priest. A list in the form of the names of the tribes was placed on the shoulders. The people of Israel knew that he bore them at all times, even into the most holy places. The priest had a prayer list ever with him.
