"But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased." Hebrews 13:16 This week I had three instances where communication and its importance were impressed upon me. I am like the child Samuel- with help, I then "catch on". (1 Samuel 3:8.) Firstly, was a communication begun about a book that I mentioned to you last week. Another book was mentioned to me as being a positive influence of one of you readers. Secondly, on Friday I received a pictorial prayer reminder from a large missionary program. While praying through the hundreds of names, I saw one that may reopen an avenue of further interest. Thirdly, I got an e-mail on Saturday with the Subject line HELP!!!. A reader of this weekly thought was asking my assistance in a class discussion for today. I responded to them by furnishing a website for a book on the subject. Communication is wonderful!. Biblical uses of the word "communication" carry a meaning far beyond the mere transmission of information. A basic study will take you to the N.T. Greek word that translates to English as "koinonia". Fellowship, edifying and sharing of precious faith is involved. Don't forget to do that in your life by whatever means you have at your disposal. This final paragraph would find it's way to a good editors cutting room floor, so go ahead and hit your "delete" button. Face to face is still the preferred way of communication. I want all facial expressions and body language to speak eloquently. When the Apostle Paul says, "And the rest I will set in order when I come" (1 Corinthians 11:34"), these were not threatening words; but loving words of a spiritual father who did not want to be misunderstood by some folks who were good at misunderstanding and making up their own set of rules. 1Corinthians 14:36 would be a good place to begin a study of both books of Corinthians. A fool does not learn from his mistake, A wise man learns from the mistakes of all. Please communicate with me. His, Ron Krantz
