One Day Nearer To The Return Of Our Lord,

BORN IN AMERICA-And so very glad. In The Evangel, the quarterly newsletter 
of Evangelical Church Alliance, William Bray reminds us that there are 6,000 
ethno-linguistic groups in the world. 3,000 of these have at least one 
Christian local church (these approximate numbers remind me that we have a 
ways to go). The levels of persecution and oppression were very high in 
2000. Mr. Bray is on staff of Christian Aid Mission assisting 686 indigenous 
mission works with over 60,000 workers around the world. Indonesia, india, 
Egypt, Colombia and The Sudan of Africa are areas of extreme hardship for

SYNCRETISM?-I will not insult your intellect, but will define it as I used it 
last week. I see it as a dilution of the doctrine of salvation by grace 
alone based on the issue of the perfect sacrifice for sin through the death 
and resurrection of Jesus. 
This is done universally by an attempt to combine any other idea.

IRAN?-Some of you noted that the article on Iran was nearly five years old. 
One question, "Don't you think that ventures into prophecy are risky?". Let 
me refer you to
Isaiah 46:10 "Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times 
things that are not yet done, Saying, 'My counsel shall stand, And I will do 
all My pleasure'."
These words of God himself let us know that prophecy is simply history 
written prior to the event. When we submit our minds to Him (Romans 12:1&2 
), we may proceed with confidence that his purposes will not vary.
