First-Let me thank you for the responses to music and journey requests. Keep 
them coming. I will make copies and use them in weeks ahead. Each one 
received is a personal blessing and "boost" to me. I have a need to know 
that you are there and reading.

Frances Ridley Havergal was possessed with enormous vocal talent. Her 
struggle of submission involved genuine sacrifice as she chronicled in her 
more popular song"Take My Life And Let It Be" . This is satisfaction. "Like 
a River Glorious."

God." These words of instruction were written to a struggling group of 
believers in 1 Corinthians 2:5.

ON THE JOURNEY-With you today are Rourke and Bethany Springer of Valentine, 
Nebraska. Remember, the miracle pregnancy that I shared with you. DR says 
A-OK for November 25. Rourke is a CPA active as a trustee and treasurer in 
his church. Cell group ministries and studies are under their direction. 
Rourke has been involved in small groups since dorm life in university eight 
years ago.

TWO TAPES-Worth owning. ABWE (Association of Baptists for World Evangelism) 
gifted me with a documentary in celebration of 75 years. The other tape 
"Worth it All", is a short biography built on the life of Veronica "Roni" 
Bowers. Roni was serving in Peru under ABWE in April 2001 when she was 
killed by a pilot who mistook their craft as a drug plane. Professionally 
done with Steve Green singing and a super blessing. Thanks.

HOLY NETWORKING-A reader saw where the gift of another reader was needed in 
their life. They, in turn, contacted them by using the web address given 
here. Even in, no-especially in this electronic age; we must recall that all 
spiritual gifts are bestowed for the benefit of others-Administration of 
Ephesians 4, Ministration of Romans 12 and Manifestation of 1 Corinthians 12. 
If THOUGHTS played a role, "Thank you, Jesus." 

DEFINING LIFE-Here are some thoughts that have crossed my desk and my mind:
1. An Extreme Pessimist says that in spite of today's condition, tomorrow 
will be worse.
2. An Extreme Conservative wants it like it used to be, even if it never was.

I GUESS I WILL-Pass this on. I have received this from more than one of you. 
While reluctant to get involved in anything that even smells like "chain 
letter", this may have merit.
It seems that USA Today is having a vote on "Under God" wording in pledge.

I MISS YOU-During these vacation months, I have some "holes" in my e-mail 
screen. Persons who write me regularly, drop out of rotation. I also get 
back many mailings of THOUGHTs with a notation that a one day limitation on 
delivery has been reached. I try to send again. but must remind you to go to

IS PEACE IMPOSSIBLE?-In Israel. It seems that each diplomatic move in a 
positive direction ends in more bloodshed. Psalm 122:6 says to, "Pray for 
the peace of Jerusalem:" These "songs of degrees" were to be sung by 
pilgrims as they ascended to the holy city. "I am for peace: but when I 
speak, they are for war," These words of frustration from Psalm 120:7 take on 
2002 meaning this morning.

IS WAR INEVITABLE?-In Iraq. It seems that every voice is declaring that 
Saddam Hussein will be removed by force from his leadership in Iraq. The 
force will be America. If you read my paper on Iraq, you know that I see 
that land of Iraq as the Babylon pictured in Revelation 17&18. Hmmmmmm.

DIFFERENT IMAGES-It takes a trained eye to look at a negative and see the 
photograph that can be made. A real exercise in viewpoint takes place on 
your Sunday morning talk interview programs. (Now, don't skip church to 
watch-use your VCR.) It all depends on the "spin" that is given to the 
story. Some only see cloudy gray, while on another channel it is all coming 
up roses and clover.

HEAVEN-Is the topic of the lead article in the current Newsweek. It would be 
a waste of funds to buy one for this article, You might find the single page 
article on Hell to be as provocative. This article, I am sure, is designed 
to take advantage of the blurred lines on the subject as both the terrorists 
and the victims talk about this goal of heaven. Oh, it probably is hoped 
that some magazines may be sold as well.
